How Sentaris gives to those in need.

How we give

Sentaris prides itself on ensuring our people make the decision on how we give.

As you will see through our five giving streams, it is our collective group that decides the outcomes.

Charity Giving

Selecting the Charity Panel

Every second year, Sentaris requests our staff submit charities that are important to them. We then request that all staff vote which reduces the list down to four charities which will make up our charity panel for two financial years.

Donations

Once the donation pool is calculated at the end of financial year, each member of the team votes where the pool should be spent. 

Each charity on the panel receives a minimum of $1,000, then the remaining pool is divided based on the votes.

Team Volunteering

Every year, Sentaris organises a team volunteering day where we give our time back to a cause selected by our team.

Most recently, it was a privilege for our team to support The Big Umbrella Foundation in preparing 350 nutritious meals for people in need.

Since 2010, The Big Umbrella Foundation has been creating and serving restaurant quality meals for people on the streets of Melbourne using rescued food. Our team loved every minute of working alongside their dedicated volunteers, learning about their innovative approach to reducing food waste whilst addressing hunger in our community.

Seeing firsthand how rescued food is transformed into restaurant-quality meals was truly inspiring.

It was also an honour to celebrate their 16th birthday and witness the incredible impact they’ve made over nearly two decades of service!

Individual Volunteering

Everybody in Sentaris has two volunteer days per year available to them so they can contribute back to a charity that is meaningful to them.

Donation Matching

Sentaris will match each team member’s donation to a charity of their choice up to $1,000 per year.

Our Program

Sentaris is dedicated in its mission to helping organisations understand their risks, and provide practical recommendations and assistance to increase their security posture.

We understand that for many not-for-profits, funding a program such as this one would redirect critical funding away from their mission.

This service (usually between $12,000 – $15,000) is designed to provide valuable insights at no cost.

We provide this service to two NFP’s per year, and requires the form below to be filled out.

NFP Discounts

Sentaris discounts it’s services for NFP’s through one or more of the following methods: Straight 10% Discount, Reduced Daily Rate and Pro Bono Services.

At minimum, all NFP’s receive at least 10% off their services.

Sentaris started tracking discounts in 2022, however we have been supporting NFP’s this way since 2015 with an estimated total of over $300k.
